I am a native of Los Angeles, CA. As I stood by my mother’s side during her pregnancy, I was awestruck by the intimacy of the doctor patient relationship and inspired by the intricate process of life’s development in the womb. Therefore at the age of 7, I decided to become a physician. With time, her mother’s health deteriorated and Dr. Bonman Senkungu was motivated by her mother’s illness to become a compassionate, patient advocacy driven healer.
I graduated high school from the prestigious Chadwick school and completed my pre-medicine studies and Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Xavier University of Louisiana. I then obtained a doctorate medical degree at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. This was followed by completion of University of Southern California’s (USC) Family Medicine residency program. I am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
Outside of medicine my life has been greatly enriched and blessed by my relationship with the Lord, my husband "TQ" and three sons Titus, Timothy and Tekoah. I enjoy sports, gardening, home decorating and thrift shopping, spending time with family and friends.
I have practiced in a variety of settings including clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, personal homes, professional workplaces, emergency departments and urgent cares.
With time the practice of medicine has become profit driven, insurance managed and productivity focused. Desiring to connect directly with patients, and return to the art of medicine I decided to open the Doctor Mom practice. The direct pay model allows me to deliver high quality and personalized care outside of a hurried environment, without the limitations of insurance restrictions. It is with great pleasure that I extend he home visit services to individuals and entire families within Allen, TX and telemedicine throughout the entire state of Texas.
