What to do if infected by SARS-COV-2
The COVID-19 virus can be spread to others by both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. Therefore, when feasible we recommend that ALL infected individuals:
- › Isolate for either 10 days since the date of diagnosis (if asymptomatic) or 10 days from the date that symptoms began
- › If you are unable to isolate for 10 days and need/want to discontinue isolation early you should first test NEGATIVE. Take 2 ANTIGEN (rapid) tests, at least 24 hours apart — if both result in negative tests, then discontinue isolation. Otherwise continue the full 10 days.
- › DO NOT end isolation if you have a fever — wait until you've been without a fever for at least 48 hours.
- › Stay well hydrated (double your daily baseline water intake unless directed otherwise by your doctor)
- ›
If you have to be around the public during active infection, always:
- Wear a face mask over your mouth and nose
- Physically distance from others
- Avoid being indoors
- Avoid attending large gatherings

Drink some water so you can produce saliva, but do that more than 20 minutes before you start spitting. Don't brush your teeth or eat or drink within one hour of the test.

You've likely either had COVID by now or know someone who had. And those who have had COVID in the past 4 months and who were vaccinated, likely told you it was like a bad cold or allergies that came out of the blue.
